Principal's Post - A Weekly Note From Mr. Ortman
Happy Friday!
The school year is off to a terrific start!!! It is so nice to see the students smiling faces in our classrooms and hallways again. Our compliments to all of the students for honoring the CREEKERS' Code, working hard, and for being so engaged and polite.
Just a friendly reminder that student drop-off begins at 8:15 AM, and our school day begins at 8:35 AM. If you arrive at school after 8:35 AM, please make sure to bring your child into the main office to sign in. Also, all visitors are expected to sign in at the main office. Don't forget your photo ID.
Our dismissal begins at 3:15 PM. Student car riders will be dismissed first. For the safety of our students, please use our car rider line to pick up students. We want all students to be safe, and having students walk to parked cars is not a safe way to dismiss. If you are picking up your child as a car rider and would like get out of your vehicle to meet your child as they are coming out of the building, please park in one of the legal parking spaces and walk up to meet your child on the sidewalk. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping all of our students safe!
Sincerely,
Mr. Shawn Ortman
Principal

Happy Friday Creekers!
Have you heard about CREEKERS' Code? CREEKERS' Code is our school-wide positive behavior approach that was student created and continues to be student modeled. Each letter of CREEKERS stands for an important character trait that all Creekers should demonstrate at school and in the community!
Cooperation
Respect
Excellence
Effort
Kindness
Empathy
Responsibility
Support
Every adult in the building has Creekers' Code tickets to nominate students demonstrating the traits during the school day! In addition to receiving tickets, this year students will also be given a bracelet to either wear or collect. Our hope is that children will bring the bracelets home to share with parents and family members. Every time we spot a bracelet, we will be sure to ask how they honored the CREEKERS' Code, this is a great question to ask at home, too!
Each Friday we select one student from each grade level for special recognition. Check the weekly newsletters to see our weekly Creekers' Code nominees.
In addition to our weekly drawings, we have daily conversations about the character traits and start our day with our Creekers' Code pledge! Ask your child(ren) about Creekers' Code!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Amy Adelman
