Our river basin is within 2 counties and 644 square miles long.
There are three notable lake the Apalachia, Hiwassee, and Chatuga. The clay county school system is located on the Hiwassee river basin. Brasstown creek is a tributary. Runoff from contruction sites. roads in developed areas carries tons of sediment into the streams.
