The Board of Education provides a "Board Meeting Summary" after each Board meeting. The summary includes a brief description of the main topics and action items. These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting. We hope these summaries provide some basic information and context around the reports, presentations and action items. Superintendent Reports

  • Special Education Strategic Plan Committee Update | watch
    Director of Student Services Laurel O’Brien presented an update about the most recent committee meeting. Mrs. O’Brien shared that they talked about next steps or year three and meeting dates for the remainder of the school year. Board representative Jason Loebach added his thoughts and other Board members asked follow up questions related to the topics presented.
  • Parent Teacher Advisory Committee Update | watch
    Principal of Benjamin Franklin School Jeff Burke presented an update report for PTAC. Board members asked questions and discussed the upcoming PTAC initiatives.
  • Start With Hello
    Dr. Gordon shared that we had a great Start With Hello Week and that he has heard from a number of parents who are pleased with this initiative.
  • IASB Committee
    Dr. Gordon reminded Board members that Mr. Bruno is the Triple I Board delegate for the Illinois Association of School Boards. He asked that all board members read the resolution books and provide feedback to Mr. Bruno as soon as possible. He will present a report at a future meeting.
  • Scheduling Committee
    Dr. Gordon asked that Board members please send an email to Mrs. Clark if they want to serve on this committee. Meeting dates have not been confirmed yet.
