Living with diabetes
Living with type 2 diabetes is a very terrible thing for a 13-19 year old. Type 2 diabetes is when your blood has high levels of sugar. With this disease your body has to have sugar. If your child is slowing down, later starting to urinate a lot more than usual, and increased thirst, your son or daughter may have type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes can cause certain types of cancer. Type 2 diabetes can cause liver, pancreatic, and endometrial cancer. The certain medication treatments can also cause different cancers.
Children with Obesity
A few extra pounds does not mean your obese. However they may indicate a tendency to gain weight quickly and a need for changes in diet and exercise. Mainly, a child is not considered obese until the weight is at least 15 percent higher than their ages. Obesity most likely begins between the ages of 6 and 8. Studies have shown that a child who is obese between the ages of 10 and 13 has an 80 percent chance of becoming an obese adults. Statistics show that 1 out of 300 kids have diabetes.
Children with heart problems
Kids are normally not going to have any problems with cardiovascular disease, most of the time these problems happen to senior citizens with diabetes. But the rate that this country is going children are going have these problems at age 19. Cardiovascular disease is a disease that involves the heart and blood vessels or both. 7.2 million people died from this disease.
