WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL LETTER

August 19, 2020

Dear CES School Community,

The safety of our students and staff is a priority for CES. We are committed to providing a quality education for our students, delivered by caring and competent teachers in a safe and secure facility. As we approach the 20-21 school year, we are dedicated to starting school on campus on September 1st as long as it is safe to do so.

We believe students interacting with peers and teachers is a positive, challenging learning environment that is most conducive to learning. We are also prepared to provide each of our students K-3 with an Ipad and 4-8 with a Chromebook if virtual learning becomes necessary due to health conditions.

Our plan may be revised and adapted depending on the level of viral transmission in our school and community as we receive guidance from public health officials. We will be flexible as new information becomes available and make necessary adjustments.

A copy of our Return to School Plan is provided on the link below and on the CES website.

Our schools will not be operating in a business-as-usual manner this year. Our objective is to provide positive learning experiences within a challenging new context. As we embark on the 2020-21 school year, it promises to be a challenging one, but we are confident that “WE CAN DO THIS”!

Yours in education,

Betty Vassmer,

CES Superintendent/Principal
