Greetings Champions,
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the weekend. We must have blinked because just like that April is in the bag and we officially have 19 school days left. Also, it looks like we are at the point where it will be in the mid to upper 90’s from here on out. So please remind your student(s) to bring their water bottles and drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Another huge thank you to our fabulous PTO and their small army of volunteers for making Champions lunch a huge success. Congrats to all of our students nominated for their Citizenship and thank you to everyone that made it out including Mr. Champ, our mascot, himself. And after that Movie night was another big hit as so many made it out to be with friends and enjoy some snacks and a great movie. Thank you to everyone for supporting our school and thank you to the PTO for making these events possible. Great job!
The week ahead is dedicated to our amazing Carlson teachers. Our PTO, with your help, has some fun festivities and meals planned to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. They say, "a truly great teacher is hard to find, difficult to part with, and impossible to forget." Thank you teachers for all you do each and every day to make the lives of our students brighter. You are all so deserving of this week and much more for the greatness you pour into the hearts and minds of all your students each and everyday. On behalf of our students, parents, and community, happy teacher appreciation week.
Also this week; Talent show applications are due tomorrow to Mrs. Malizia in room #26 (4th grade hallway). Auditions will be held next week during the school day on May 11th. This Thursday marks the return of our annual drama club performance. This year they are performing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Musical. These students have been working so hard under the leadership of Mrs. Andrea Hays and they will amaze you. Come on out and support the drama club and see a timeless classic.
And last, if you didn't purchase a season pass, be sure to bring $4 dollars this Friday for Fun Friday. PTO has been working overtime to make sure our Champions have a great end to their year. Thank you PTO and Super Volunteers for all your hard work and always providing these wonderful opportunities for our school and community.
Have a great week everyone!
Sincerely,
Mr. Morgan

A message from PTO
Hello Carlson Families,
As we are beginning the 4th quarter PTO has some fun events planned as we finish up the school year. Attached is the 4th quarter PTO calendar of events. We have been very busy planning for our Spring Carnival and hope to see all families at this event! It is going to be a showstopper...we promise! Information to follow in a few days.
PTO would like families to know that we have been working with the district and a Gaga Ball Pit will be added to the playground for students. The cost is approximately $11,000.00 and is being purchased using the funds from our Step it Up fundraiser. Thank you all for your support and we can't wait to have this new item added for the students to enjoy.
Please note that there will be multiple openings on the PTO Board next school year and PTO is currently recruiting for those who may be interested in serving on the board next school year. If you are interested please send us an email at admin@carlsonpto.com so we can connect.
See the attached calendar of events and we look forward to ending the year strong with some great family events!
