The unexplained death, usually during sleep, of a seemingly healthy baby less than a year old when the baby stops breathing.

2 new statistics of SIDS

1. A Scottish study showed that 87% of SIDS deaths occurred in unsafe sleeping environments, only 13% were found in a crib or bassinet.

2. Studies show that for infants who received any breast-milk for any duration, the likelihood of SIDS was 60% lower.

DO keep your baby's immunizations up to date

DO NOT use a car seat, swing, bouncy seat, stroller, infant carrier, of infant sling for routine sleep
