Welcome to the 2023-24 School Year
at Celebration K8 School
School Starts August 10th
We hope you had a relaxing and restful summer filled with memorable moments.
Our admin team and front office staff enjoyed time off to spend time with family and friends.
We also have been working diligently to prepare for the 2023-2024 school year.
In preparation for the first day of school, we would like to provide you with some important information regarding home/school communication, student schedules, arrival and dismissal procedures, and Open House information.
We are excited to welcome you to our school and in our PRIDE family! This overview will help you familiarize yourself with the school, but please do not hesitate to call our office if you have any questions or concerns: (407) 566-2300.
Visiting the school always starts in the front office. All visitors must provide an ID to enter the campus or pick up a student.
It is VERY important to notify the office of changes in addresses or phone numbers. Also, please let us know if your family has moved or if your child will not be attending K-8 for the 2023-2024 school year. Students must return laptops if they are not attending CK8S in the upcoming school year.

We communicate electronically rather than through literature sent home. The Remind text messaging system will send reminders to the entire school, including weather alerts or event updates. Directions for being added to our Remind can be found below.

NEW START TIME for 2023-2024
Students' school hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 am to 4:25 pm
Wednesday from 9:30 am to 3:25 pm (Early Release Day)
9:00 - Gates Open
9:30 - Gates Close
Breakfast starts at 9:00. The best time to get to school is 9:15 in the morning.
Picking up early: Our students are engaged in learning until school hours are over. Please try to limit your child's early withdrawal from school. If an appointment is impossible to schedule outside of school hours, give your child time to organize his/her backpack and travel to the office. We do not call the students to the office until you arrive to minimize loss of instructional time. Knowing your child's teacher and/or schedule will make the exit process much quicker. No students will be released 30 minutes before the end of school hours.
Breakfast and lunch prices: Free breakfast - 9:00-9:25.
Lunch $2.40. Reduced lunch $.40 (based on income)
Milk $.75, Juice $.50, Water $.75 (prices are subject to change).
Online lunch account: www.MySchoolBucks.com the student ID number.
School Agendas: Agendas are required for all students. PTA will provide one for each student who will be delivered on the first day of class. If lost, the replacement is $5.
Become a school volunteer: OASIS is our district's volunteer program. If you are interested in volunteering at school, you can sign up on the district website under Parents where you will see a link to Oasis. You can also access it directly at: https://www.osceolaschools.net/domain/94. OASIS approval is required to participate in a school trip or volunteer anywhere on campus. Approval takes a few weeks and applications need to be renewed each school year.
Celebration School has been classified as an "A" school for 18 consecutive years. We are proud of our students and teachers as they continually strive for academic excellence. Parents are invited to participate through our PTA providing events, or the School Advisory Committee (SAC) that guides our school improvement. Parents are encouraged to participate in both PTA and SAC. The first meetings are usually in September. We have many business partners who support our school. If your business wants to partner with us, please let us know. Last year, our school recognized the diversity of our global and local community by starting a Dual Language program in the Pre-K – 3rd grades.
We look forward to a positive partnership as we embark on your child's education. We are happy to have your family join our Celebration family - GO PRIDE!

Student Schedules Released July 24th through Focus
Please note that schedules are being released well in advance of the first day of school.
Middle school schedules are still being finalized.
Some final points regarding schedules:
- There may be changes made as we continue to balance class sizes.
- No requests for changes will be made until after the first five days of class.
- For middle school - if your child is missing a core academic class (math, science, reading, social studies) or is listed in the wrong grade, please use the QR code or link below to notify us of error and we will make the change immediately.
- Schedule changes will not be made unless there is a gross error warranting a change.
- Middle school elective issues or questions will be addressed during school lunches with guidance counselors and the assistant principals after the first week of school.
Scheduling students in a school this size is a massive undertaking, especially while continuing to register new students. Thank you for your patience as we continue this process!

Home/School Communication
Teacher accounts will automatically be created once school begins. In the meantime, you can opt into our schoolwide Remind notification system by texting @ sdocck8s to 81010. You'll immediately receive a text confirming you've joined the school or class. If you don't already have the Remind app, click the texted link to download it. If you already have the app on your phone, open it to see the school or class you just joined.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Celebration K8 has a large student population and this can make arrival and dismissal times very busy. Our students' safety is always our top priority and, to that end, we strongly encourage you to follow our procedures designed to keep everyone safe and to move traffic as efficiently as possible. We know your time is valuable and we will make every effort to honor that. The safety of our children, however, will always come first.
Below is a PDF of our arrival and dismissal procedures. Please read carefully and contact us with any questions. The first week of school you will experience delays as everyone acclimates to the procedures. Please remember to be patient as we will have new families learning our routines.
