Count Day

Wednesday, Oct. 5th, 8am

NCA

While it is important for our students to be in school every day, actively participating in the learning process, attendance on student count days is particularly helpful, as count days are required for district and state reporting. Oct 5 is the first of two count days that take place during each school year, with the second happening in February.

We encourage families to make every effort – barring student illness or a family emergency – to have their students at school for Student Count Day, Wednesday, October 5th for the entire school day. Thank you, as always, for being a part of what makes our school a school of excellence!

Elementary Book Club

Novi Christian Academy has the opportunity to participate in a Christian book club program called Ready? Let’s Read! This program is a faith-based alternative to secular book flyers.

Ready? Let’s Read! is a book flyer that includes only Christian publishers and vendors whose core message is the Gospel. Age-appropriate materials for grades pre-K through middle school will be available for purchase through the Ready? Let’s Read! secure website www.readyletsread.com. All purchases will be shipped to the school free of charge and distributed to your student. As with other book flyer programs, our school will be rewarded for our participation with free products or a rebate check.

Our school will hold the Ready? Let’s Read! promotion from Sept. 23rd through Oct. 9. Book flyers will be sent home with your student on Monday and starting today, you may order online at www.readyletsread.com until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 9. Please fill out all information when ordering so our school is properly credited with your purchase and your purchase is given to your student.

We are excited to participate in this new reading program!

NWEA

Elementary students completed their first round of standardized testing. Student results reports will be shared with parents during parent teacher conferences.

Field Trip Costs

Beginning this school year, NCA will be requiring students and chaperones to pay their own individual costs for all school field trips. This decision was made so that NCA can continue to provide learning opportunities and experiences outside the classroom. Should financial hardship arise, please reach out to Elementary Principal, Diana Stotler.
