Free Vaccination Booster Clinic on January 17

LISD will be hosting a free vaccination booster clinic (Moderna, Pfizer) Monday, Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. If it’s been six months since your vaccination and you are 12 years of age or older, please sign up by clicking here. We will be hosting the clinic at our North Transportation Center, 2332 Sage Ranch Drive in Leander.

After scheduling your appointment please download and print your consent form. Please bring the consent form, your insurance cards, and CDC vaccination cards from your previous dose(s). If you do not have a vaccination card, a picture will suffice so that we can verify the timing and manufacturer of your last dose and manufacturer of your last dose.

Morning Read or Run is BACK!

This week we resume our morning reading or running time. On their designated days, student report to the MPR when they get to school rather than go to class. The schedule for this week is: 5th Grade on Tuesday 1/18, 3rd Grade on Wednesday 1/19, and 4th Grade on Thursday 1/20.

If it's too cold to run, or if the weather is uncooperative, then students will still report to the MPR and indoor morning movement activities will replace running.

Attendance Matters!

It's the time of year when runny noses and sore throats become more common...and we know with COVID, that can send a good deal of anxiety running through a household. Just please know that it is very important to notify your child's teacher AND our Registrar, Megan Smith, anytime your child will be absent from school so that we may code the absence accordingly.

Also note that Attendance Laws are set by the State of Texas and require all students to attend at least 90% of the school year to be considered eligible for the next grade level. That means if a student receives 18 or more excused or unexcused absences, they must automatically be considered for retention by our campus Attendance Retention Committee. This committee meets in May and considers all data points in determining student promotion to the next grade.
