Newsletter from the Brennen Media Center: September 19, 2014

I have made sure that everyone at Brennen as a Learn360 (formerly known as United Streaming) account. If you are having problems with it, please let me know.

Welcome, Mrs. Ayalingo!

Ebony Ayalingo is now the Media Center Assistant. She has been busy helping students, shelving books, loading the laminating machine, and doing a myriad of other things that she must handle.
The former assistant, Gloria Robinson, really enjoying her retirement!!!!

Nancy Swanson is busy helping me to get our ipads ready to be checked out to each grade level. It is a tedious process, as each one had to be "cleaned off," and the apps that your grade level requested must be installed.
We have also received iPads and covers for 4th and 5th grade. We will get there....soon, we hope!

Visual Literacy

If you have students who express interest in any of RCSD#1's Visual Literacy Contests, please encourage them to participate, and tell them that I will be happy to work with them to help them with whatever project they are doing. This is a wonderful way to help our students think creatively.

Nancy Swanson, our tech educator, was able to work with all teachers at all grade levels to make sure that their eChalk accounts are active. If you have any problems please let me or Nancy ( know. We want to make sure that parents and other community members know what is going on here at Brennen.

Marquee, Sign, and Events

Whenever you have events that you'd like the public to know about, please let me know. I check the large calendar in the office as often as possible, but sometimes things happen in your classroom that I do not know about. (Special reader, reading celebrations, etc.)
Please let me know so that I can post that on the marquee (lighted sign out front) as well as on our eChalk calendar.
