1 Week Long FREE Dance Intensive

Presented by: Alma Dance Theatre and IronFlower Fitness

Intensive with Choreographer: Marissa Alma Nick

Come experience a one week long dance intensive, designed to develop and improve the strength and flexibility for Dancers. Marissa’s post-modern dance technique is based around fundamental classical technique and contemporary conditioning for full-body strength, ability and agility. Choreographically, Dancers will be exploring a vocabulary of movement that creates never-ending flow, driven by strict points of initiation and dynamic changes in tempo and rhythm. The final layer of expression will find its way into the choreography, essentially encouraging the Dancers to create an emotional narrative with a ready and able body.



NOTE: For those Dancers interested in being hired by Alma Dance Theatre’s upcoming concert performance in April 2015, at the South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center, this intensive is also designed as an audition. However, those Dancers not interested in being hired, are still highly encouraged to come and attend the intensive, strictly for their growth and enjoyment.
