We worked on constructive feedback this week, editing and revising our work. We also read some Gothic Literature short stories, including "The Monkey's Paw", "The Boarded Window" and "Harold".
We will finish out Edgar Allan Poe and Gothic Literature at the beginning of the week next week and then move on to the 2nd nine week study focus.

Mathematics
Happy end of the first 9 weeks! Time is flying! Next week in math class we will be taking our benchmark tests. I am looking forward to seeing how much the students know. All classes are still working on Integer rules and applying those rules to all rational numbers. Ask your student to create a real world expression using integers (positive and negative numbers).
As we begin a new 9 weeks with a clean slate, please remind your child to check Powerschool often for missing work, especially if they are absent from class. Let’s all keep current so we have less stress at the end of the 2 nd 9 weeks. Late or missing work can be turned in for a reduced grade. One reason work becomes missing is the student forgets to put their name on their work. Please remind them of the importance of this requirement. Thank you and Happy Halloween!
