FELEGY FITNESS FANATICS!
Mr. Kerr: Physical Education Teacher
My favorite sports to play are basketball and lacrosse. I stay active as a referee for high school sports. It is a great workout and is really fun!
Mr. Reap: Principal
When I was a student, I enjoyed playing football and basketball. Now, I belong to a fitness club. Another way I stay active is by parking my car far away from places. This is because I can get more exercise by walking to where I want to go.
Ms. Arax-Melnick: Media Specialist
My favorite way to exercise is to practice and teach AcroYoga, Yoga, Acrobatics, and Gymnastics to keep me strong, flexible, playful, and stay connected to myself and others.
Mr. McPherson- Building Supervisor
I love to play all sports. However, my favorites are basketball, football, and baseball.
Ms. Twitty- Title I Specialist
I am a Crossfit fanatic. When I finish the workout, I feel that I accomplished something difficult. For example, one workout might include: 100 Pull-ups, 100 Push-ups, 100 Sit-ups, 100 Squats!
Ms. Tucker- 5th Grade Teacher
I like to stay fit by eating healthy and exercising regularly. My favorite type of exercise is dancing! I try to get as much west coast swing dancing in as possible. It's a good workout and it's fun!
Mr. Burnett- ESOL Teacher
I enjoy hiking for cardiovascular exercise, and I do push-ups for upper body strength.
Ms. Mallick- Drama Specialist
I love to walk, run and keep my body moving through movement, music, drama or sports!
Ms. Jallepalli- Instrumental Music Teacher
My favorite ways to stay fit are by running and hiking on scenic trails. I also enjoy playing tennis with friends on the weekends.
What's happening this month???
Kindergarten & 1st Grade Classes are learning about "personal space" & basic movement concepts through fun activities.
5th Grade classes will begin the FitnessGram baseline testing. The FitnessGram tests help us gather information regarding your child's current fitness levels, and areas in need of improvement. For more information click here.
DID YOU KNOW???
An apple a day, really does keep the Doctor away! Apples contain fibers that help clean your teeth, and antibacterial properties that help fight off viruses and bacteria. Apples also increase saliva in the mouth, which helps reduce bacteria from growing.
