Good To Know
Intermediate Records With Singer Jaymay
Intermediate students had so much fun working with singer songwriter Jaymay! The students sang chorus on “Up in the Sky” for the upcoming Jaymay Sings Christmas. In addition to being lots of fun, it was an opportunity to explore music production firsthand. The project also connects to their upcoming study of Los Angeles, which looks at the city’s journey from 18th century pueblo to 21st century entertainment metropolis.
Dean's Scholars Include Former TAs
Former Teacher Assistants Lizzette Mendoza, Jenna Mirander, and Ramon Rodriguez were among those honored at the Ed&IS Dean's Scholars Dinner last week. The dinner celebrates the Ed&IS community and recognizes donors and recipients of fellowships that support students in Education and Information Studies. Dean Marcelo Suárez Orozco hosted, and Principal Norma Silva was on hand to celebrate the honorees. The three former UCLA Lab School TAs all spoke about how valuable their experience working at our school has been in informing their graduate studies in the Teacher Education Program.
