Police getting worse or are people?
By Steven McCollough
Way of life under police brutality.
"Police brutality is a fact of American life." Over the couple of years here in the U.S. police have been seen as a force not to be reckoned with. Many are claiming that the police are being too forceful on civilians who are acting out against the law and it has been focused on the African American populations. Many believe it to be racism or the fact that cops are immediately going to their guns for protection. Since 2013 3,136 Americans have been killed by cops. Only 1% of cops are indictment-ed, while 90% of civilians are.

How change can occur
- Police can take or retake training classes on how to deal with violent situations if they did not have their gun to resort to.
- Strip police of their guns who tend to deal with violent situations with impulsive behaviors and not thinking straightly
