Why we chose these topics:
We chose to study these topics because they all impact and affect the food economies in both the U.S. and Egypt. For example, Life Expectancy, Population, Obesity Rate, Meat and Fish per week, and the Average years spent in school all influence the culture.

Meat and Fish $ Per Week
Since Meat and Fish are more expensive than the other food groups, this graph says that the USA has more time and money to spend on higher quality food.
Life Expectancy
The life certain people live mainly depends on what you eat. If you don't eat then your life probably won't last as long as those who always eat.
Average Years in School
If you don't have the money to spend on school, then most likely there won't be a ton of money in the house to spend on high quality foods.
Population
The population can express what foods people eat because eating little to no food can easily kill you, resulting in a smaller population. Also, most people will want to live where there is more foods to survive on.
Obesity Rate
The obesity rate shows how healthy the foods are that the countries are eating, and how much of it. Obviously, the U.S. eats a lot of junk food and too much of it.

Therefore, all of these characteristics of the American and Egyptian culture affect and show what foods they eat for many reasons, as stated above. The different aspects of a society can can clearly modify a country for good or bad.
