Our state assessment window is right around the corner. Spring assessments will take place in all schools in Colorado during March and April. Our 3-6 grade student participate in CMAS (Colorado Measures of Academic Success) for state testing. These assessments are given online and will be administered under standardized conditions to ensure accurate results.
Our school will be testing on the following days:

3, 5, 6th grade-April 9, 10, 11-9:00-11:00 AM (ELA)

5th grade-April 19-9:00-11:00 AM (Science)
5th grade-April 22, 23-9:40-11:40AM (Science)
Each fall we review our state assessment results as part of our school and student performance to set goals. It is important that students arrive to school on time each day and have a good night’s rest. We also ask that you avoid scheduling doctor appointments or other events during our testing dates. Thank you for supporting your student and Bishop as we prepare for our assessment days. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Martin directly.
ENGLEWOOD PUBLIC LIBRARY
READ ABOUT SPRING CLEANING SAFETY
Will your older student be helping you with household cleaning chores over spring break. Ask them to read the safety labels on cleaning products before they start. Then have them explain the label directions to you so you are both sure they understand. Reading safety labels is a great example of how reading is essential to our daily lives.
