Indian Culture
Writings
The use of prose fiction was very popular in India in the 6th and 7th centuries. They were ahead of the world at this time, with novels not showing up in China, Japan, or even Europe until centuries later. Dandin was the most famous author of prose in India, and his writings are still passed around India for all to enjoy today.
Architecture
During the 6th and 7th centuries, Indian architects built huge temples for Hindu worship. They were giant, and each consisted of a central shrine surrounded by a tower, hall for the worshipers, an entryway, a porch, and a courtyard. In these temples, there were beautiful works of art. As time went on, the towers and shrines became more complex and intricate, giving us the beautiful temples we see today.
