Important Dates & Cafeteria Info...
As you know, from previous district and school communications, federal waivers for free meals expired in June 2022. All districts have been required to return to pre-pandemic operations for the 2022-23 school year. Meals free of charge will be available only to those students who qualify through Direct Certification, Categorical Eligibility, or the 2022-2023 Application for Free and Reduced Price School Meals. Please contact the main office if you need assistance with completing an application: 732.505.5830.
We encourage you to review the weekly menu with your child to determine what days (if any) they will purchase lunch. Our district is committed to ensuring the health of our students and we will never deny a student lunch if they report that they are hungry or have not brought a lunch from home. Stay Home or Come to School?
Balancing Attendance & Illness
With that being said, managing childhood illnesses is a part of our lives as parents. Knowing when to send students to school and when to keep them home can be challenging. To assist you, I am sharing the Toms River Regional Schools Procedures Concerning Communicable Diseases. This guide tells you when you need to keep your child at home and for how long. Together, we can reduce the overall rate of illness and increase our attendance rate by ensuring that healthy kids come to school and sick kids stay home to recover. Our school nurses and our entire staff thank you for your support.
