Principal's News
Today our college was fortunate to host the Principals from the Western District of Lutheran Schools (Horsham, Hamilton, Tarrington, Nhill, Portland and Dimboola) for our termly Principals's meeting to strengthen our learning programs and ensure required compliance and regulations are being covered across all of our schools.
For some of my colleagues, this was their first visit to Mildura and to Trinity. It was a pleasure to take them for a tour of our campus and share with them our amazing college and our awesome students! It began a conversation among us about what makes 'Lutheran Schools' different. Often visitors describe it as a 'vibe'.........but it is more that that. Trinity is a school where every child matters. Each student and staff is an individual, loved by God, valued for who they are. Lutheran schools accept everyone. Lutheran schools have Christ at the core of all that we do. Lutheran schools value and encourage learning, Lutheran schools value and encourage each child to have a go. Lutheran schools care.
As humans, we do not always get it right. As a school we do not always get it right. God loves us each, for who we are, as imperfect but perfect in HIS eyes.
As a community, we share this amazing christian college and 'the vibe' that we have. The pandemic hasn't been the easiest to navigate with our connection suffering from lack of face to face opportunities but we know we can grow and build this again. You are the heart of our school.
We are very excited to welcome Parents and Visitors to join us for Assembly and Chapels again, please refer to the details below in the newsletter for dates and times.

Welcome Maisie, Our Well Being Dog
We introduce to our community, Maisie. Maisie is our 15 week old Groodle Puppy who is boarding with Mrs Haaja, as she begins her training to join our Trinity community as our well being dog.
Maisie will start to visit our college for small periods over coming weeks and will work up towards spending full days on site. Evidence shows that just by being near a dog when stressed can reduce anxiety. In a recent Dogs Connect Survey, 92% of students said they felt more relaxed during teaching and learning time when there was a dog in the classroom. We all know when children are more relaxed and less stressed, they’re going to learn more.
Having a school dog can also help with school attendance, communication, leadership and responsibility, behaviour, students experiencing trauma, and gives students a shared interest with other members of the school community.
A school well being dog can help students and staff alike! Maisie will assist our students to connect and build relationships they may have struggled to do otherwise, she will even help with certain learning programs across our college, from Prep to Year 10!
in each newsletter we will continue to share a 'Maisie Update' with you as she grows and develops her skills. We will also share updates about our agreed community expectations and how our students and staff will work to ensure that our consistent approach to having Maisie at school will allow Maisie to do her best work! We cannot wait to welcome Maisie on site and for all of us to get to know her.
