Blaze Bulletin
Edition 12 - Week of November 9th
Greetings
Dear teachers,
Thank you for a great PLC day yesterday. The presenters of Rigor in the Classrooom really appreciated your attention. Choose one thing you heard in the session that you don't already do and try it out. If we add a little more rigor, everyday, the end results will be amazing! Also, read below for a description of a lesson I saw from a new teacher - it was a great way to do group work.
Have a great weekend!

REMINDER...
"I really like all of my child's teachers and staff, but I have to do my best as a single parent to make sure he is on the right path. I look at his grades everyday. All of a sudden he is missing alot. It reallly helps when teachers are prompt on updating grades." - from a parent

TEACHER SPOTLIGHT....Rebecca Jones
This is my third year at BHS, but my 27th year teaching. My husband Leslie and I live on a farm in Christiana. We have horses and a few cattle, along with our dogs Winston, a Cardigan Corgi, and Oscar, a Scottish terrier. I enjoy camping and trail riding and also the occasional horse show. I grew up only about a mile from BHS and as a kid rode my pony all over the farm that is now Fortress Blvd and the Blackman schools.
TEACHER SPOTLIGHT....Jonathan Carter
"Jonathan Carter-Grew up in Franklin, Tennessee and graduated with a Photography degree at MTSU in 1984 and Teaching degrees (Art and History) in 1991. I have been married to Katherine for over 30 years and have two sons, the youngest is a senior this year at Blackman."

Hola!
I graduated from the University of Tennessee (GO VOLS!) and taught for 3 years in Knoxville before moving back to middle TN. This is my 5th year at BHS teaching Spanish. I am a big college football and basketball fan, have a very spirited Jack Russell terrier/Dachshund mix by the name of Jack, and I love to read.
