General Reminders for Coming and Going
1. Start of the Day - Our doors open for boys and girls at 7:50, and they are released to class at 8:00. Parents should note that our staff hours begin at 7:45, so we do not have adults to watch your children prior to 7:50. Please do not leave them unattended. Students that arrive between 7:50-8:00 wait in the car rider hallway or the cafeteria until we release them to their teachers.
2. End of Day Change of Transportation - We ask that you make every effort to place transportation changes prior to 2:00 pm in order for us to be certain that your child leaves in the correct manner. You may make changes by:
- (a) sending a note with your child;
- (b) faxing with a photo of your I.D. to 936-276-4501;
- (c) *new this year!! Emailing your change with a photo of your I.D. to LONESTARTRANSIT@MISD.ORG
Please make sure that you include your child's first & last name and the teacher's name on any change. Emails or texts to teachers, phone calls to the front desk, and student-relayed messages are not requests that we honor, for safety reasons.
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
This means to think about how you would like something to turn out before you get started. In school, beginning with the end in mind might look like: doing neat work, having necessary supplies, completing assignments and turning them in on time, or studying or reviewing a new concept.
