Happy Sunday Cub Families!!
Last week was a great week in Cub Country!
- Book Fair Started!!!
- We hosted our first Coffee with Administrators. We know that the morning is not always convenient for everyone, so we will be looking at an afternoon time for our next Meet with the Principals event.
- We finally got our third flagpole fixed (thank you Ms. Pam!) and our Cub flag is now flying proudly!
- We had early release and our teachers participated in some very valuable professional development.
- We hosted a few local first stations and they spent time with our K-3 students teaching about fire safety and all the tools they use to battle fires! It was informative and fun!!
- We had our first Student of the Month Ceremony, which was well attended by family and friends of our recipients. We did run into the Richlands Homecoming Parade rush, as our guests were also looking to check their students out and parents were checking out parade participants. We got a little backed up, but we got everyone cleared quickly and we appreciate everyone's patience.
This week is probably the busiest we have planned so far:
- Book Fair Continues!
- Red Ribbon Spirit Week is this week!
- Monday is Rally in Red Day, so wear your Red.
- Tuesday is Team Up Against Drugs Day, so wear your Favorite Sports Team Attire.
- Wednesday is Picture Day, so it is Dress for Success Day.
- Thursday is Bright Future Day, so wear your Neon or Tye Dye.
- Friday is Follow your Dreams Day, so wear your PJs (make sure they are appropriate for school)
- Our PTO Meeting is Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm in the Cafeteria.
- Picture Day is this Wednesday.
- Thursday is the PTO Trunk or Treat from 6:00-8:00 pm. You can also visit the Book Fair.
- Friday is the last day of the first grading period.
November has been designated as Parent-Teacher conference month at CVE. You should be hearing from your child's teacher to set up a time to conference. Please make every attempt to find a time that works for you. It is important to us that we are able to meet with all families and are able to discuss each student's achievements and academic standing. We know that a true school-home partnership is vital to student success.
Have a wonderful week!!

Principal
On Friday, October 21st, we hosted fire trucks and brush trucks from Rhodestown Road, Nine Mile, and Back Swamp. Our students learned all about fire safety, saw equipment, toured fire trucks and got to use the fire hose!! Our students learned a lot and had fun doing it! We want to thank these three fire stations for coming out to Clear View and spending time with us! We are already planning for next year!!
Calling all CVE Readers! Book Fair season is here! We will have our first CVE Scholastic Book Fair Oct 20-28th! The book fair will be open for students to make purchases daily during school hours and parents can shop with their child as well as on our Fall Festival night of Oct 27th from 6-8PM in our Media Center/Library. You can send your child with money in a re-sealable bag (wallet or sandwich bag) or a check made out to Clear View Elementary if you know the exact amount with taxes included. You can also pay with a credit card on our parent night. The easiest way to pay, however, is often using Scholastic’s e-wallet. This keeps students from having to keep up with money. Click the button below tto set up an e-wallet, see a digital flyer, and even to shop online. Happy reading!
