Free Meals Continue
Dear Park Hill family,
It’s official – the program that allows us to provide free meals to our students and to children throughout our community is going to continue through the summer and the 2021-2022 school year. This is not just for families who are in need – everyone may feel welcome to access this resource for their children.
Free Meals During the Summer:
- For summer school students:
We will serve free breakfast and lunch to summer school students each day. They will not be eligible for the frozen pick-up meal kits during the summer school session (on the June 9, June 16 and June 23 pick-up dates), but they may order them for the May 26 and June 2 pick-up dates, before summer school begins.
- For students not in summer school:
Families may order five-day frozen bulk meal kits for all children in the Park Hill area who are not in our summer school, beginning with the Wednesday, May 26 pick-up date. Our order form, with pick-up instructions, is on our website. Please order a week in advance and no later than the Tuesday before your pick-up date.
Free Meals During the 2021-2022 School Year:
- For in-person students:
Throughout the 2021-2022 school year, we will provide free breakfast and lunch to our in-person students each day.
- For Park Hill Online Academy students and area children:
Students in our area who do not attend our schools in person will be able to order our five-day frozen bulk meal kits.

Repeat: Tutoring Services
Hello everyone,
As our students continue to learn online and in distance learning, there continues to be a need for tutoring support.
I’m happy to announce a partnership between Park Hill School District and the Mid-Continent Public Library. This partnership provides all Park Hill parents and students with live access to online tutoring and homework help through the Mid-Continent Public Library website. Below is information for you to share with your parents and students (as appropriate).
Janis Yokely, LMC coordinator, has put together resources for accessing these tutoring supports:
- Important information for you to know: Login access to this resource requires the parent/student to enter the student’s Park Hill S number. Written directions for logging in are attached.
- A video explaining how to navigate the website is located here.
- This resource is also located at Park Hill’s Parent University website located here.

Repeat: Virtual Relaxation Room
A new addition to Parent University is the Virtual Relaxation Room. This is a space created for all staff, parents, students and community members. Many of the tools included in this website are designed to calm, comfort and create a space for relaxation. This is a great spot to practice self-care.
· Virtual Relaxation Room: https://sites.google.com/parkhill.k12.mo.us/phsd-calming-room/home.
Repeat: Online support and Parent University
For our Park Hill Online students and their families, we have developed some resources to help with navigating the online experience, including all the online learning tools.
· Check out the Parent University webpages our educators put together, with tips and resources for families. Using the feedback we hear, we will regularly add new information to support families as they help their students connect to technology, guide social-emotional learning, and navigate online learning. https://www.parkhill.k12.mo.us/cms/one.aspx?portalId=62500&pageId=49976831
· Also, feel free to call for Park Hill Online support at 816-359-4044 during office hours. You will be able to get answers about our learning platforms, online assessments, and finding resources when you need them.
