Remember the Book Bus Next Monday!
Ms. Blanchard, Mr. Sanborn and Ms. Harder all went out on the book bus last week and 24 students checked out sets of books. Let's try to beat that number this week! Every Monday they will be going to 5 stops in our attendance area. Bus Map Here. You can zoom in to see the stops closer up and figure out your walking route to get to the closest one. The approximate bus stop times are listed on the map. We are trying to get these times shifted to start after 2:30 so students don't miss instructional time, and the order of stops might change in the future. I will share that updated information with you.
If your child wants to request specific books, please have them complete the following book request forms.
Ms. Blanchard's Google Form to put books on hold (This is the shortened version for K-1 grades)
Ms. Blanchard will be curbside with books for students to check out during the lunch pick up times on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11-12 and again in the afternoon from 4:30-6:00. She has book bags by either reading levels or interest/topic for students to choose from.
You can return books any day by placing them in the blue tub near the entrance of the school. Books are left to sit for at least 3 days before being re-shelved or put back into circulation.
Congratulations to all the students who entered minutes for the Move-A-Thon. Together students logged 25,578 minutes. Everyone who participated gets a sticker and the other prizes will be awarded soon. The grade level challenge winner was 5th grade: prepare for the obstacle challenge teachers! Together we raised $5500. You can still enter minutes and pledges on Family Site | Pledgestar.
Dress up in your favorite costume and submit a picture by Nov. 1 to enter into the Chehalem costume contest. Send all pictures to email@example.com. We will post pictures of our entries!
Fred Meyer Rewards:
We were recently enrolled into the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program and wanted to let teachers and families know that they can now register their rewards card to Chehalem Elementary PTO.
To Use the Fred Meyer Community Rewards Program:
Visit https://www.fredmeyer.com. Once logged into your Fred Meyer account you can search for Chehalem Elementary PTO either by name or RB857 and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a rewards card. When making purchases just swipe your rewards card or enter your linked phone number. The card must be registered to the Community Rewards program in order for their purchase to count towards our school.
Also, a reminder that our first Dining for Dollars event is this Saturday from 5-9pm at Chipotle off Cedar Hills Blvd.
