On Tuesday, February 25th, JABSOM will host a keynote seminar by Dr. Jeffrey Friedman, an expert investigator in the field of obesity and energy metabolism. Dr. Friedman is a Howard Hughes Investigator and leads the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at Rockefeller University. Among his many accomplishments, some highlights include: graduating from Albany Medical College at age 22, discovering leptin and the leptin receptor, and receiving the 2010 Albert Lasker Basic Medical Research Award.
