Yearbook News!

While we’ve requested photos for the yearbook several times, we are STILL in NEED of photos!! Any candid, posed, or selfie photos of past events would be fantastic. We need pictures of class get-togethers, such as fun things the kindergartens or 3rd graders have done – field trips, in school activities, anything! With both of these, remind the parents to indicate which event and/or class is in the photos.

Also, we would like to create pages dedicated to Online Learning. Please send photos of your students or teachers of yourselves – both candid and posed – and your learning area. You can also include how you are enjoying more family time. Either email photos to cceyearbook@gmail.com or go through the CCE app – under more yearbook photos.

Thanks!

News from our School Counselor

Dear CCE Family,

Once again our "new normal" has shifted and we are now faced with the reality of 4 more weeks of remote learning for students. I know that brings a number of challenges and opportunities to you and your family. Routine is one of the best ways to cope in such uncertain times. There are many things we cannot control but plenty of things that we can. So, today, I have two resources for you. The first is a calendar for the month of April that includes daily suggested activities to help us all cope with this global crisis.

Active Coping Calendar April 2020.jpg

The second resources is one I see frequently and still need the reminder, daily (sometimes minute to minute). When it feels like so much is outside of our control, it's good to focus on the things that actually are in our control. Use this graphic to talk with your kiddos about all the things they CAN control during remote learning and all this extra together-time that quarantine brings.

Can you please send out an email to the school – both parents and teachers? While we’ve requested photos for the yearbook several times, we are STILL in NEED of photos!!

Any candid, posed, or selfie photos of past events would be fantastic. We need pictures of class get-togethers, such as fun things the kindergartens or 3rd graders have done – field trips, in school activities, anything! With both of these, remind the parents to indicate which event and/or class is in the photos.

As always, please reach out if you need support of any kind. I am happy to help you find the resources you and your family need to manage this time well.

PE News from Mrs. Hamilton

Hope all are doing well. If your student has not had PE online yet and they are bored and need more activity, they can visit my Google Classroom (code: j2mgtym). Under classwork I have posted some ideas for extra activities. Only 2nd – 6th grades have a Google Classroom. I will continue to post more as I find them. I’m missing all your kids.
