Sign up HERE to donate candy and non-food treats

NHE PTA is hosting a Trunk or Treat event in the school parking lot Friday, October 29th from 6-7:30.

Kids will get to show off their costumes as they "trick or treat" from trunk to trunk. Non-food, allergen friendly treats will also be available at some of the trunks, just look for the Teal Pumpkin signs.

Parents, we need volunteers to deck out their trunks in spook-tacular fashion and hand out treats.

PTA For Your Child - Membership Campaign Launch

PTA Myth versus Truth

Goal: Every NHE student is represented in PTA by at least

one important adult in their lives.

Status: Currently 25% of our students are represented. We are 1/4 of the way there!

Join Here

There is NO obligation or expectation to volunteer or attend meetings. (But we do LOVE to meet members and find fun opportunities for those that want to help!)

Membership assistance is available. We do not want funds to stand in the way of those that want to join. Please email president@nhe-pta.org to request a confidential scholarship.

Pass the Hat Fundraiser

Goal: $30,000 will fully fund our budget for the 2021-22 school year.

Status: We are 28% of the way to our goal.

Donate Here

And remember to ask your employers about their Corporate Match Plan. Many local employers will match the donation you make up to 100%!

Every dollar contributed to our Pass the Hat fundraiser goes directly to support the programs offered by the PTA. A donation of $100 covers our spending per student, but any amount is appreciated. Every dollar counts!

We are a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Our Tax ID number is 91-1208399.

Staff Spotlight - Ms. Hallock

My name is Maureen Hallock, some of you have known me as Ms. Del Rosario, starting at NHE in 2002 as a UW student intern!!! Working with children in school is a passion of mine, and I have been truly blessed to start my career here at Newport Heights! Newport Heights is a second home, you have all been part of big life milestones-marriage, becoming a mother, even losing loved ones. I have two amazing daughters who have grown up in NHE! Avery, who is an NHE alumna, is now a 6th grader at Tyee. Her wonderful teachers have really prepared her for any challenge that may come her way! Amelia, is a 1st grader here and loves being back in person! My husband Joe and I have been married for 15 years, but met when we were both undergraduates at University of Washington, almost 20 years ago. We strive to teach our daughters how to be kind human beings who positively contribute to their world. We have an almost 8 year old Boston Terrier, named Kingsley who loves to fetch golf balls. Outside of school, my family and I love traveling and spending time outside. During my own down time, I enjoy reading, working out, visiting the spa, spending time with my ohana and friends, cooking, trying to be creative, and tapping into my Filipino roots.
