FBI Teen Academy for Juniors & Seniors

The FBI Teen Academy program allows high school students an opportunity to get a comprehensive look into today’s FBI. Students are provided with several presentations on topics including terrorism, cybercrime, public corruption, polygraph exams, evidence response, SWAT, and the day-to-day operations of a typical FBI office. Students also learn from special agents, intelligence analysts, language specialists, and professional staff about investigative tactics that include gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and assisting with cases.

The FBI Sacramento Field Office is accepting applications for the Spring Teen Academy, to be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Participants must be California high school students who are juniors or seniors for the 2021-2022 school year. This is a one-day event to be held at the Sacramento FBI Field Office in Roseville, California.

Free ACT & SAT Practice Exams for all students!

El Dorado High School is partnering with Revolution Prep to provide our students with the opportunity to practice taking college admissions exams while remaining safely at home. A proctored practice exam is the best way to get a real-time snapshot of testing performance in order to create a testing plan.

Why take a practice exam? Although some colleges and universities are currently test optional, many students are pursuing SAT or ACT scores to strengthen their applications to test optional schools, to qualify for scholarships, and to understand their academic strengths and weaknesses. Knowing your baseline score will help you make educated choices in the college application process. By taking a practice ACT and SAT exam, students can determine which test they are best suited for or if taking an official exam is right for them.

When:

    • SAT practice test: Saturday, January 29, 2022
    • ACT practice test: Saturday, February 5, 2022
