LCMS Geography Bee
On Thursday, January 17, Log College Middle School held its annual Geography Bee. Eleven students advanced to the school wide competition. The National Geographic Society sponsors this Geography Bee each year. They supply the questions for the school bee and the finalist takes a state exam online. This year’s winner, Sanjeev Pandith, a 7th grade student, was also the school winner last year. He will take the exam for qualification in the Pennsylvania State Contest. Last year, Sanjeev did well enough on the online exam to qualify for the state level in Harrisburg where he represented Log College extremely well. Skylar Cataldi, am 8th grader, came in second and Ethan Colon, a 6th grader, came in third. Congratulations to all participants!
The National Geographic Society has a tremendous website with many geography games, maps, and challenges. If you enjoy geography yourself or want to check it out with your child, log onto their website at www.nationalgeographic.com.
LCMS Spelling Bee
On January 23, the Log College Middle School student body participated
in a school-wide spelling Bee. With Mr. Noel McManus pulling off a superlative
Emcee, the talent was great this year, and the competition
was nail-bitingly close. After a long and tough final round, 8th grader Keith Thompson was crowned our Bee Winner, spelling the word dissertation. Great job Keith!
Log College Cheer
Congratulations to the Log Cheerleaders for taking 1st place at the CB East Invitational on January 26th. The girls were up against all but one Central Bucks team and stole a landslide victory. The girls put on a top notch performance!
As if first place was not enough, they also won the best tumbling award for the day. This award was based on the amount, frequency and synchronization of their flips. They beat out all teams that performed including both CB West and South High Schools. Well done ladies!
A Message from Mr. Golderer Regarding Vaping
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thanks to support from our superintendent, we are happy to provide you with a "Vape Educate" online program. In our schools and community, vape use is increasing among our youth. At the middle school level, we will be teaching students about the dangers of vaping and are looking to hold an informative parent evening in conjunction with WTHS and our sister middle school in the near future.
Your child will be provided access to the Vape Educate Program through his/her school email account over the next few days, and we would strongly encourage you to complete this program together with your child. The entire program is approximately three hours long and provides a certificate upon completion. At the middle school level, we will also require any students who violate our policy to complete the course after school hours.
Thank you for partnering with us on this venture. Together, we can help educate and guide our children to healthy choices.
Mr. Patrick Golderer

Students in Grade 7 need a dental examination. The dental examination form needs to be completed by your child’s dentist and returned to the school nurse.
Form are available on our website or in the nurse's office.

Thank you for your ongoing support, as we strive to keep the children of LCMS safe and healthy!
