News You Can Use:
Teresa Sales-Anderson has joined our cafeteria team as the newest employee. She is a great worker and she is looking forward to learning her new job, the kids, and staff. You may recognize her as she has filled in many days this year as a substitute in the cafeteria. Please welcome her to the FES Team!
Congratulations to April Barton on her most recent Donor's Choose grants. She received "Big City Building Blocks" and a "Junior Hollow Block Set". These items totaled $210.92!

Let's get Green!
As of Monday, April 11th, students will recycle their milk cartons at lunch! Thanks to the cooperation of custodial and cafeteria staff, students will empty their milk in the trash before placing the carton in the blue recycling bins. Please make your students aware of this new method of milk disposal. Encourage children to recycle, just in time for Earth Day! Even better, encourage them to reduce- if they do not drink milk, they are not required to take it. Let's encourage a culture of waste reduction here at Fairview Elementary!
If you have any questions or suggestions, you can email Katie Edwards.
A special "healthy" invitation from Tammy Harris:
I wanted to make you all aware that a group of us here at Fairview are doing some walking, jogging, or running after school. We plan to meet on Tuesday'sand Friday's. I will plan to meet on Wednesday's and Thursday's for those that might like that time better.
Our Girls on the Run team meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's. Our plan is not to get in their way. Right now, we can meet on the track, but that will change in a few weeks. We will use the parking lot or ballfield if needed. Our plan is to gather up at the track or parking lot in front of the school around 4:00pm on Tuesday's. The other days are more like 4:15 or 4:30pm. If assistants would like to meet closer to 3:30 or so, then I am sure that a group can get together at that time as well. Please feel free to join us on the day and time that works for you.
Due to this beautiful Spring-like weather????, we will start back up next Tuesday. If we cancel on any of those days due to weather, then I will let you know via email.
Grab your tennis shoes and come join us!!!!
Thanks for Supporting the PBIS Golden Spatula Program!!
