From Assistant Principal Jeff Waters
Dear RGMS Community,
I was down for the count last week. Being sick, having a sick kid, is no fun at all, and I find myself reflecting today - grateful for health and community. You know you have a strong team when people step in and step up for one another to keep the show on the road to keep learning on track. A big “thank you” to everyone here who helped cover me while I was under the weather. You are awesome - I’m glad to be back!
Stay tuned for a few important announcements below:
12/22/2023 will be our last day of school before going on Winter Break until the new year;
Classes will resume 1/2/2023;
We’ve identified 2/7/2023 and 2/8/2023 as our Parent / Teacher Conference days and will be implementing a new conference model this school year: Student Led Conferences. Our team believes that this model will support student ownership and accountability for their learning, provide the school with the ability to provide more conference slots, and give us and parents more points of contact and a better understanding of student progress. We’re excited to share more information with the community about this conference model so that you know exactly what to expect.
We will release our S2 Schedule Change Request form on 1/5/2023. Students and families can request a change to their 2nd Semester program via this form. We will review all requests, but please know that not all changes will be possible - as is always the case.
I wish you all a healthy, safe, restful, and meaningful Winter Break. Be kind to yourselves and one another.
In the Service of Students and Families,
Jeff Waters
Assistant Principal

Art Class Project
Art Class
Last week in art we had a hot cocoa party. We drank cocoa out of our awesome mugs that we made. We had a great time and Miss Steel can’t wait to make mugs with students again next year so we can have another one! Students took two of their clay projects home on Friday. The rest of the art will go home after our art show, January 18th at 6pm.
