This Week We Will Continue the Process of Resetting Our Hallway Transitions

Team, it's important that we enforce our hallway transition expectations. Over the last few weeks, noise levels, horse playing and bathroom usage during class change has increased significantly. Hallway transitions play a significant role in the manner that scholars enter our classes. You can help by doing 3 things...

1. End your classroom instruction on-time. Often the noise & horse playing increases as
scholars are waiting to enter a classroom that has not dismissed yet.

2. Stand outside of your classroom door and positively encourage scholars to quickly &
quietly move into their classroom.

3. Encourage, recognize and incentivize (DoJo, Kickboard, etc..) scholars who quickly
come into your classroom, get seated and begin their warm-ups or do-nows.

Progress Reports Next Steps

Please ensure that your scholars bring their progress reports back to you with their parent's signatures. This will provide us with documentation that our scholar's parents have seen the progress reports and are aware of their child's current academic standing in your classroom.

Discuss with your grade level team incentives for scholars who return the signed progress reports and consequences for scholars who do not return them.
