Parent-teacher conferences will be scheduled by your child's teacher(s). Parents, we hope you feel more connected to school by the various modes of communication; Facebook, ClassDojo, Smore Newsletter, Creel website, paper flyers and Blackboard texts and emails.

The Charleston Wrap Fundraiser was successful thanks to your support. The exact totals are not in yet. However, Creel did profit over $1,000.00 based on internet sales. The Creel Eagles PTO welcomes you to attend our meetings to share ideas and discuss school wide needs. You can support our school all year long by scanning and uploading your favorite Box Tops and Coca-Cola products. Information on how to do this is found below. Grade Level Announcements

Kindergarten is wrapping up a unit on the 5 Senses. The students enjoyed a tongue tasting test with salty, sweet and sour items. We recorded what we tasted and indicated thumbs up or down if we liked how it tasted. Our families are submitting a 5 Senses Project that each K student will get to present to the class the week of October 5th.

First grade celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day by learning all about him and what a good citizen he was. In science we learned about living and nonliving things using real worms and gummy worms. We are writing in math now and using our Eureka manipulatives to tell a story. Mrs. Gooch is very proud of all the hard working 1st graders!

Second graders completed their unit on Severe Weather. As a culminating activity they wrote a poem about a severe storm. In Math, students have finished their measurement module and are beginning to learn about place value to count and compare numbers to 1,000.

During Mrs. Shoff's Science lab, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are studying parts of a flower and flower reproduction. They are participating in a hands on flower dissection lab. Sixth grade will begin to study balance and unbalance forces.
