Rainy Days Ahead
We finished another great week at OES! It looks like we are in for a lot of rainy weather in the upcoming week. I am reposting our Parent Square information about our Inclement Dismissal Procedures. In the event, we have to go to an Inclement Weather Dismissal, you will be notified via Parent Square.
Walkers: Walkers will be held until the car line ends. If parents want to pick them up, regardless of grade level, parents wanting to pick up walkers will utilize the front car line, entering through OHS. Parents will need a car tag and let the person calling names know your child is a walker.
Please note: Once we notify families through Parent Square that we are on Lightning Alert, walkers will not be dismissed until the car line is finished, even if the lightning alert ends. This is because if parents choose to pick up their Walker in the front car line, their child will still remain on campus until at least the car line ends. At the end of the car line, if the lightning alert is over, any remaining walkers, not picked up through car line, will be released. If the lightning alert is still active, we will call parents to arrange a way for them to get home.
Back Car Line: These students will be in the OMS gym and when you feel safe, bring your car tag to the gym door for pick up. You should utilize one line.
Front Car Line: We will utilize one line in the front. Students will load only under the covered areas.
Please turn your windshield wipers off when a staff member is near your car.
All cars will exit right onto Oasis Blvd. (as usual).
Buses may run late due to the weather.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the front office.
