Message for June 2022
From Your Vernon Township High School Administrative Team

June 2022
Welcome to June!
Thank you for your continued support throughout the 2021-2022 school year!
We want to thank everyone who worked behind the scenes to ensure that all of our students who were required to take a standardized test last month were able to do so. It was an arduous amount of scheduling, set up and break down of tables and chairs, and an enormous amount of cooperation from our students and their families! Thank you, one and all!
May was another busy month at VTHS with lots of activities happening before, during and after school at VTHS! Please be sure to take some time to review this month's message and acknowledge the numerous students and staff members who have worked so hard to make VTHS such a special place to attend school. Students' high school experience is enhanced by belonging a club, becoming part of a team, or participating in an activity--and not just attending school.
We also have some exciting and memorable activities scheduled this month, including the Senior Breakfast, the Senior Prom, the Freshmen class trip, yearbook distribution and the Senior Walk....and, of course, the Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2022! We would like to thank everyone who has played a role in making all of these activities possible!
As we move towards the end of the school year, we will be following a Final Exam Schedule during our scheduled early dismissal days. Please see the schedule below.
We have enjoyed working will all of your throughout the school year and want to thank all of you for sharing your children with us!
Sincerely,
Pauline F. Anderson, Danielle Colte, and Nicholas M. Demsak
Please review the attached schedule for all of the details about this year's final exams. Seniors with an A average are exempt from finals.
Once seniors have decided on "What's Next?" after graduation, we are asking them complete the form attached to this letter to share their plans for their next venture following graduation. We are hoping that the entire Class of '22 participates!

Here's the link to the newsletter created for our graduating seniors!

VTHS SPONSORS "WOMEN IN STEM" CONFERENCE DURING MAY

On Friday May 6, 2022, the freshmen and sophomore young women of VTHS had an opportunity to participate in Princeton University’s annual Virtual Young Women's Conference in STEM. Focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (a.k.a. STEM), the Young Women’s Conference introduced Vernon girls to women scientists and engineers and the wide breadth of careers available to them in these fields. Prominent women scientists and engineers from around the region spent the day with the girls in a variety of formats that includes small-group presentations, hands-on activities, a keynote address, and a chemistry demo.
