Dr. Kleinman is a board certified plastic surgeon certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and is the former President of the Westchester County Medical Society. Currently, Dr. Kleinman is the Councilor to the Medical Society of the State of New York representing Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Duchess and Orange counties. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from MIT, Dr. Kleinman completed medical school at the University of Rochester Medical School.
He completed his residencies and fellowships in general and plastic surgery at several prestigious institutions including the Harvard Surgical Service, George Washington University Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, where he mastered both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Of note, Dr. Kleinman's plastic surgery residence was at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he worked with Frank Gerow, the creator of breast implants.
Technically known as blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery is able to revitalize the eye area by improving puffy, sagging or tired-looking eyes. Recovery following rhinoplasty will involve some degree of bruising and swelling. While the majority of swelling will resolve within about two weeks, some subtle swelling may last for up to one year post-surgery. In addition, some discomfort can result which can be countered with medication. Bleeding may also occur. The splint, dressing and stitches are usually removed within one to two weeks. Most rhinoplasty patients are back to work and their usual routine within one to two weeks.
