COVID Alert Level Update

Birkdale Intermediate School

Alert Level 3

Kia Ora parents and whānau,

As you will be aware Auckland moved into alert level 3 this morning. This will mean that everyone, other than essential workers will need to remain at home. If your child will be at school, please email Katrina Bush so that we can ensure that we have staff present to supervise your child.

Schoolwork will be made available tomorrow at 9 am. Whānau teachers will email this to you. If required, a paper copy of this week's home learning can be collected from school any time between 9 am - 3 pm. The gates will be open so you can drive in, scan at the door and collect the worksheet from the table inside the reception area.

All students should have their Whanau book in their school bag, if not, they can work in any book available to them.

Zoom calls will resume each day at 9.30 am on Monday with whānau teachers. This is a chance for teachers to connect with all students and ensure that everyone is able to access home learning. Teachers will do a roll call at this time. Your child's whanau teacher will attempt to make contact with your child each day. Please make sure they have your current and up-to-date email address.

We will be checking the school answer phone so you can leave messages if using email is not an option for you.

Thank you everyone for your ongoing support and resilience as we once again move to Alert Level 3.

Ngā mihi nui
