Teaching the Mind...Nourishing the Soul
Theme for the Year - Beauty
From the Principal
The food was such a treat to have! I hope you enjoyed sampling the menu that will be available the night of the 8th Grade Talent Show coming in September. Thank you to Ms. Tiffany Nguyen and Ms. Wolanin for organizing it all. Ms. Nguyen was able to get the food donated through the kindness of Lisa's Chicken and BV Air Conditioning and Heating. We have such amazing families and community sponsors here at St. Joseph Catholic School!
As I stated in last week's newsletter, I have chosen beauty as our theme. We had a beautifully awesome experience this past Monday with an eclipse of the sun! Time and time again, as I walked around the school grounds, I heard children witnessing this beauty with a simple, "wow," or "oh." It is this type of experience we all need more of in our lives. God wants us to enjoy this earth we call home, for He is at the heart of all we experience in beauty like a blue sky, snow-covered mountain, or wooded trail.
Be sure to check out the photos of "Knights in Action" for some of the beautiful things happening on campus, and for beauty others have captured, as we all make our way through this amazing life Our Lord has blessed us with.
In Christ's Service,
Diane Price
Quotes to Ponder
"We are to be missionary disciples just like the Apostles, sharing our faith in word and deed" (Evangelii Gaudium).
- Pope Francis
"Beauty is the arrowhead of evangelization."
- Bishop Robert Barron
At St. Joseph Catholic School, we are striving to become missionary disciples by bringing others to Christ, through the recognition of what is beautiful around us each and every day.
