REMINDER FOR THANKSGIVING BREAK
SPECIALS SPOTLIGHT PHOTOS
All of our stations were well attended and we had many families learning with their students in PE, STEM, Music and Art activities. Thanks for making this community night a success for all.
6th GRADE PROJECT
“Learning targets are student-friendly descriptions-via words, pictures, actions or some combination of the three-of what you intend students to learn or accomplish in a given lesson.” (Moss, Brookhart, 2012).
Here are a few Learning Targets used this week in 6th grade for student projects this week!
1. I can identify examples of transformation and transfer of energy by identifying the type of energy in rube Goldberg machines.
2. I can analyze a Rube Goldberg machine by identifying the types of energy, transfers and transformations.
3. I can create a blueprint for my Rube Goldberg design by drawing out the steps and labeling the type of energy and if it is energy transfer or transformation.

HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE
CROSSWALK IMPORTANCE
COUNSELOR'S CORNER
The holidays can be such a wonderful, fun time, but for many people, it can be a difficult and stressful time. At school, for children who are struggling during the holidays, we can make a referral to the school based therapist (for children who have Medicaid). Naomi Anglero is the therapist who works for All Health and sees students at Bishop. If your child has private or no insurance and you would like to access counseling services, I can also support you in accessing services. If your family is experiencing other needs, you may also reach out to me and I will work to connect you with appropriate resources.
I hope your family experiences many joys during this holiday season.
