STAFF MEETING 6/1 @ 8AM:
LEADERSHIP MEETING FRIDAY:
I changed our Leadership Team meeting to Friday @ 1:00 and it's on the building calendar, this is because on Friday morning I will be getting final EOY guidance from district, so we can make some final plans. Also, we have both the filming of the 8th grade awards and incoming 6th grade orientation on Thursday so it works out better anyways!
EOY EVENTS CALENDAR:
Here is a link to the 19-20 EOY CALENDAR OF EVENTS. Each event has/will have a linked document with related details, please review and keep this document accessible. We will discuss these during our staff meeting.
END OF YEAR LEARNING:
Information sent out in the Student & Family Cougar Times....The last week for new learning will be the week of June 8th-12th, the following week will be enrichment opportunities. Students should plan to submit all of their work to be graded by Friday, June 12th. As needed and with teacher approval re-submissions of assessments/assignments will be accepted for final grading up until June 16th. Final grades are due to administration on June 18th, therefore teachers need an appropriate amount of time to grade and submit. If you have any questions or concerns about this please email Mrs. Corpuz at bacorpuz@bethelsd.org.ADVISORY GRADES:
Please access the Advisory Progress Reports Google Sheet to enter your new grades for Advisory, it is expected that you have all grades updated by Wednesday (6/3) using the following the guidance:
- Find your tab at the borrow of the page
- Look at column "D"
- If it is highlighted in yellow, there is a change that needs to be updated
- You will notice a "P", "I", or "Half"
- "Half" means they have done 50% of the work
- Please be sure your assignment is worth at least 2 points
- If you use a score of 2 possible points:
- Give a 0 for "Incomplete"
- Give a 1 for "Half"
- Give a 2 for "Passing"
- If nothing has changed, no need to do anything
Please forward any parent questions to Carrie, Kate or myself (Paul). If you have questions, please let us know. We can update any grade mistakes by directly communicating with us. Thank you all for your support in this process!
iPads LOST MODE ON 6/1:
Here is the list of students that will have their iPads bricked as of Monday, June 1st. Some names were deleted due to staff comments and reasoning that they shouldn't have it bricked, and reference the color coding key at the top of the list for further info. Please let me (Brit) know if you have any questions or concerns about the remaining names.
iPADS & TEXT BOOKS - READ THIS! from Mike Christianson
All buildings Pre/K-12 may allow students to keep their iPads over the summer. The link below provides guidance on collecting iPads from students not returning and for parents that elect to check in the devices. All device coverage will extend through August 30, 2020, but coverage for the 2020-21 school year will be available to purchase by June 19th. We are still working with librarians and finance to determine the best way to renew checkouts for iPads and other materials.
*We will communicate out a plan specific to CMMS that also includes the other EOY items, but this is helpful to know the guidance district-wide.
