Principal's Corner
We are down to the final week of our school year. We have had an outstanding year full of growth in both learning and leadership. I wish you and your family a safe restful summer. To our fifth graders going to Holly Middle School...you are embarking on the next leg of your education journey. Make us proud!
We have a busy week next week:

- 5th Grade "Clap-out" - June 16 @ 11:45 AM
- 12:00 Dismissal/Last Day of School - June 16
I also want to draw your attention to a few items in the body of our newsletter...
- Summer Meet and Eat - free breakfast and lunch program for ages 0-18, here at Holly Elementary.
- The Holly Township Library is offering many wonderful activities to promote reading. Please be sure to check them out.
- Looking for a way to burn off that extra energy? Check out the Summer Tennis program.
- For those interested in performing...we have information for the Summer Theater Camp.
- Our Back-to-School Health and Enrollment Fair on Saturday, August 5, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
This will be our final newsletter of the year. Teacher placement letters for 2017-2018 will be mailed the last week of August. We will be back in the office the first week of August. If your living arrangements change over the summer, please give us a call. Enjoy your summer break!

Co-Curricular Corner - Physical Education
Our great year in P.E. comes to a close with the biggest event of the year, our Field Day! Y5-2nd will start at 9:05 and have events in the morning run by our 5th grade leaders. During this time 3rd-5th will have their group time for field day with the fun walk, bounce house, and rock wall. We need five parent volunteers to run the rock wall, please call the office so they can get you on the list. At 10:45 K-2nd will start their tug-of-fun time, come and watch the fun and even join in when time!
In the afternoon, starting at 12:10 we do the big switch and 3rd-5th will have their main field day events and K-2nd will have their fun walk, bounce house, and rock wall time. We will need 5 parents to run the rock wall that this time also. In addition, we need volunteers to help run some of the 3rd-5th events for the afternoon. At 2:00 we will start our ending events for Field Day with the last event being 5th grade tug-of-fun at 2:30 come on out and watch their final event and join in the fun!

Holly Township Library
Half a Million Pages Challenge
Please take a minute to look over all the exciting activities going on at the Holly Township Library this summer. Students are bringing home a brochure with dates and times.
Also...we have been issued a challenge!! Which Holly school will read the most pages this summer? Join the HTL Half Million Pages Challenge! EVERYONE is included! Kids, moms, dads, grandparents...anyone associated with Holly Elementary. All you have to do is go to hollytownshiplibrary.org ...click on the summer reading challenge...select our school and enter the number of pages you read. You may enter daily, weekly, or monthly. The contest runs from June 19 through August 5. Holly Elementary will emerge victorious!!!

End of the year reminders...
Library Books
Please check at home for any books belonging to the Holly El Library. We have concluded our inventory and are still missing many books. Students who still have books out have received overdue notices. Please ask your child if they received one. If you are unable to find it, please call the office.
Lost and Found
Please check out the cafeteria for any missing items. We have LOTS of hoodies! Anything left on June 16 will be donated.
Lockers and Desks
Please remind students to begin bringing home non-essential items they have at school. This will make their load lighter on the last day of school.
Medication
Please pick up any medication (prescription/over the counter) your child has at school by June16. Anything left after that date will be disposed of.
