HIV / AID

Transmission
The virus is spreading through high risk behaviors including
- Unprotected oral, vaginal, or anal sexual intercourse,
- Sharing needles, such as needles used to inject drugs and those used for tattooing
Symptoms
- extreme weakness or fatigue
- rapid weight loss
- heavy sweating at night
- swollen lymph glands
- chronic diarrhea
Treatments
- Drugs to inhibit it (interfere with its growth) these parts have been successful in slowing the progress of the disease but there is still no cure for HIV/AIDS
Problems
HIV attaches to the CD4 cells infects them and causes the ability to fight off infections not to work
Prevention
- Abstaining from sex
- always using 1 atex condoms for all types of sexual intercourse
- Avoiding contact with the bodily fluids through which HIV is transmitted
- never sharing needles
