PRINCIPAL UPDATE
As we move into November, I am reminded of how busy this time can be for families! Between the changing weather, holidays, and the end of the trimester, we all can begin to feel a bit overwhelmed! This year, more than ever, I encourage you to take time for yourselves and for your family! Spend time thinking and sharing all that your are grateful for! Did you know that studies show that the more we focus on gratitude, the more we can decrease anxiety? It's true! As for the staff at Brookdale, I know I speak for all, when I say that we are truly grateful for our students and their families. We so appreciate all that you are doing to support your students in this very strange year! Thank You!
We are super excited to welcome a few of our Bobcats back to school! Beginning this week, our Support Center students will be coming to school for a few hours each day. The district, following guidelines from the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department, has put together a plan for in-person learning for these students. We will be following very strict guidelines to ensure everyone's safety! We are hopeful that we may be able to welcome all Bobcats back sometime soon!
