High School Workshop: "Scholarships - Where to begin?" - Wednesday, October 3 at 12 pm
Description: The workshop will help high school scholars understand general information pertaining to scholarships as well as finding and applying for scholarships. RSVP here.
Middle & High School Workshop: "Let's Get Organized" - Tuesday, October 9 at 12 pm
Description: The workshop will provide an opportunity for middle school and high school scholars to take an executive functioning assessment, participate in creating an individualized daily schedule and practice how to spot disorganization. RSVP here.
High School College Briefing: “Navigating the College Application Process” Wednesday, October 10 at 12 pm
Description: This presentation will help high school scholars understand the application process for the UC, CSU and common application requirements of a 4-year college application. Any scholar planning to apply to a 4-year college/university is encouraged to attend this valuable presentation. Also, they will learn about our participation in the California College Application and Success Campaign (CCASC). RSVP here.
Middle School Workshop: "Virtual Bullying & Safety" - Tuesday, October 16 at 12 pm
Description: The workshop will discuss safety when navigating the ever-changing world of social media and digital tools, and how our use of them will create a permanent digital carbon footprint that will affect us for the rest of our lives. RSVP here.
High School Workshop: “Financial Aid FAFSA Basics” Wednesday, October 17 at 12 pm
Description: This presentation will help high school scholars understand the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Any scholar planning to apply to a community college or 4-year college/university is encouraged to attend this valuable presentation. RSVP here.
High School Junior (11th Grade) Presentation – Thursday, October 18 at 12 pm
Description: The presentation will provide critical information and support to scholars in an effort to build a grade-level foundation of knowledge from which they can develop and maintain strategies for success to utilize throughout their high school education, earn a high school diploma and beyond. Description: This Café is open to middle school and high school scholars and will be held from 12:30 pm – 1 pm on the last Tuesday of the month. Topics will focus on college/career awareness and readiness skills. RSVP here.
