Dot Day 2017
Kindergarten and 1st created dots using Augmented Reality.
2nd grade created 3D paper Exploding Dots. Their paper sculptures were bright, vibrant, and very fun! Love the results.
3rd & 4th grade Painted Dot Rocks. They will be displayed outside the school.
Ken Robinson once said, "Creativity is as important as literacy."
We celebrate this day annually to help our students be confident about what they do in our space and hopefully carry that confidence out into the world!
New and Improved Check Out!
We have made some minor tweaks made to how students check out library books. There are three new barcode labels...Check-in, Check-out, and Reset.
Students have been using this new and improved way of checking out their library books pretty successfully. We think it's easier for most students because their mouse skills are not the best; it's also one less thing they have to touch.
When students are ready to check-out, they come up to the circulation desk, scan the check-out barcode label, enter their lunchcode, scan their books, then scan reset.
That's it!
About Us
- Get students excited about the library space and learning.
- Give students opportunities to work on engaging tasks.
- Provide spaces to work collaboratively, think critically and creatively.
Also, to transition to a place where students DO stuff, not simply a place where students GET stuff.
