SacramentoPRAYS
Uniting people to pray in the Greater Sacramento Region.
"But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word." Acts 6:4
Do you pray for people besides yourself? If so, YOU are an intercessor. An intercessor is simply a mediator between God and another. As an intercessor, YOU are an extraordinary gift to the Body of Christ and the Sacramento Region. Why? Because God uses prayer to move mountains - and we have a lot of mountains that need to be moved!!!
Still feel inadequate? Good. You should. This isn't something that is “up to me”. This is something that God does in and through us as we obediently respond to his invitation to pray! We are dependent upon God and directed by His Spirit as we pray His will be done.
Now that we have settled that issue, I want to share a burden of my heart with you: In our Region there are so many wonderful ministries and so many desperate situations - all which are in need of significant prayer. What will it take for God to ignite intercession in our region in connection with these ministries and needed areas of ministry? What will it take to move the mountains that seem to separate these ministries from the needed prayer partners? I personally ask you to join me in prayer regarding this - and let's see how God's answer us together!
Here is a sample list of some of the ministries and their contacts (in case you are led to pray for them or even join their prayer team, hallelujah!)

Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree program
Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree program is in need of prayer and gifts for children of incarcerated parents. Sacramento area churches have already received their allocation of children’s gift request application forms. The actual yellow Angels are filled out from the applications and hung on the participating church CHRISTmas trees and selected by the church members. They then shop to fill the requests and return the gifts to their church to begin the delivery process.
There are 500 local children that were unassigned to a church and Last Ministry in Orangevale has volunteered to provide for these children, but we need help.
We are in need of shoppers and delivery teams to help give these boys and girls a special Christmas gift, Gospel literature, and a message from their parent in prison.
