CFISD Learning Option Change Dates
If you would like to make a change to the learning option for your child(ren) in grades PK-5 for the 3rd grading period – from CFISD Connect to On-Campus or from On-Campus to CFISD Connect - the selection window will be open between Monday, Jan. 11 and Sunday, Jan. 17. This change will be effective beginning Feb. 1 for elementary school students. You will receive a follow-up letter on Monday, Jan. 11 with instructions on how to make the change. If your child is continuing with the same learning option for the 3rd grading period, then no action is required.

A word from the nurse
When the weather begins to change from cool to cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon, nosebleeds become quite common. Bleeding from the nose occurs when a blood vessel ruptures from sneezing, picking or blowing the nose. Another potential cause can be drying out of mucous membranes in the nose. If the nosebleed occurs following a head injury, you should seek medical attention.
When the bleeding occurs, encourage the individual to keep their head forward as leaning back may cause nausea or vomiting of blood. Apply pressure to the nose to help the bleeding stop. Continue the pressure for ten minutes and ask the person to remain quiet, no spitting, coughing or sniffing. Instruct the individual to not blow or pick their nose for seven hours as bleeding can reoccur.
