Library Resources Staff Edition

Check out the new options in the Destiny Library Catalog.

Logging In

  1. Click on your Staff Bookmark link. Choose Electronic Resources.
  2. From your school library’s web page choose the Destiny Library Catalog link.
  3. Find the white Login button in the upper right hand corner.
  4. Log in using your single-sign on name (last name + first two letters of your first name). The password is your staff ID number.
  5. Choose the My Info tab to see your account info.


  1. Click on the Catalog tab to search. You can search for resources anywhere you have an Internet connection.
  2. NEW! Now you can search for materials inside your library AND pre-evaluated valid web pages by choosing the white Web Sites tab on the right.
  3. Note options to narrow your search by Topic and Domain.

Sharing Resource Lists

  1. To share resources with your students use the Resource List feature! First, log in.
  2. Using the green Catalog tab, choose Resource Lists from the menu on the left.
  3. Click Add List button > Type in title and check the box to “Make this list Public locally” > Save.
  4. Choose Library Search from the menu on the left > type in search term > Enter.
  5. Verify that the “Selected list” is the one you just created and check “Add to this list” for each title you wish to add.
  6. Note that you can also add web sites to resource lists by using the white Web Sites tab.
  7. Public lists can be accessed by choosing Resource Lists & the Public Lists tab.

Destiny App

If you have access to a mobile device - download the Destiny app by searching for Destiny Quest in the app store. Now you can access Destiny wherever you go!

Online Encyclopedias

For reliable, easy-to-use, general information, nothing beats an encyclopedia. Break that Wikipedia habit and start using World Book or Grolier encyclopedias.

Magazines, Newspapers, & Reference

When you need information on current events, primary resources or subject-specific reference works try Student Resources in Context or InfoTrac Junior.

World & U.S. History/Countries

Find up-to-date information about countries, cultures, and governments by using sources like CultureGrams or U.S. History in Context.

Issues and Health

These resources are subject-specific resources for health and science classes with Greenr and Health & Wellness Resource Center. There is also Opposing Viewpoints for those needing to find info on both sides of an issue or event.

Use the links to Washington County and Multnomah Country websites for additional resources, homework, and research help. For writing citations and getting started on a research project try using the OSLIS link.
